Our Story

Our roast master, retired NYPD Officer Richard Comuniello spent his career on the lookout for the “ultimate” cup of coffee. The scout gave way in 2012 when he began roasting his own carefully selected beans right from the Long Island home he shares with wife, Maryann and their three sons. He sources single-origin coffee from superior altitudes and climates known for producing the world’s best-tasting coffees. East Coast Roast’s mission is to roast each selection to its “sweet spot”, so you too can enjoy our artisan, small-batch roasts.  We believe everyone deserves to drink spectacular coffee.

Our family always had an appreciation for nature, growing vegetables and herbs in our garden, so when we set out upon this venture, we knew that at the very first sip we had to ensure our customers the same delightful experience of natural, locally-roasted coffee that we had our first time.
